Chapter 6

And that was how things went from that point onward.

Over the weekend, Simon and Tristan watched TV on the couch—

and made out like a couple of horny teenagers. Simon checked on the horses and Tristan prepared their meals—and they ended up fucking on the kitchen table. They went out riding in the afternoon—and stopped by the brook and pond to eat each other.

And when the kids came back on Sunday, the only thing that changed was the nature of Simon and Tristan’s assignations, becoming rushed, quieter, and secretive, adding to the passion burning between them. It felt illicit and dangerous and so hot Simon didn’t know how on earth he’d lived without it all this time.

One morning he looked at himself in the mirror before his shower and shave. He did not immediately recognize the man staring back at him. Working outdoors had given him a tan, but now his skin held a golden luster, a glow that had nothing to do with the sun and everything to do with the man he got hot and naked with. His eyes held a light he couldn’t account for with anything but falling in…lust, at the very least. As evidenced by the permanent grin gracing his lips, and not just when Tristan was around. He had a spring in his step that made him bounce with glee and anticipation of his next taste of his lover’s lips, the skin of his neck, the silkiness of his nipple, the heat of his stomach, the hot solidity of his cock…

Yeah, Simon was in heat, all right.

After two months of sneaking around, Simon and Tristan inevitably got caught.

Dale happened upon them kissing—nothing more, no nude parts showing—in Simon’s office at the house. Simon had Tristan wedged between his body and the desk, and he was slowly grinding. He was aware they didn’t have the time to follow through on this, so closeness was all it was, a temporary flash of intimacy.

Simon had thought his world imploded when his nephew’s green eyes widened into saucers as he let out a shocked gasp.

But Tristan had looked so mortified, ashamed, and afraid, that Simon could not in good conscience shy away from the truth, not for any of their sake.

Crouching down in front of the desk, Simon smiled softly and beckoned the boy close. “Hey, Dale. You okay?”

But Dale had eyes only for Tristan who knelt down next to Simon.

“Tris…?” His voice was small, and Tristan held his hand encouragingly.

“Remember that day we met?” Dale nodded to Tristan’s question, silent. “Remember me telling you that I liked boys?”

Understanding dawned on Dale, and he smiled, nodding like a jack-in-the-box. “Oh.” He studied both men pensively, his lips pursed in thought. “You like Daddy?”

Tristan blushed, but his smile was in earnest. “Yes. I like Simon.

A lot.”

Then Simon felt it was high time he interjected a comment of his own. “And I like Tris, too. A lot.” He worried about what came next but forged on. “Is that something you can be okay with, son?”

Dale snorted.
